What Afnan 9PM actually smells like
9PM is a sweet, easy amber fragrance that costs less than a cinema ticket and performs like something four times the price. Apple and cinnamon open it, a vanilla and orange blossom heart follows quickly, and an amber-tonka base gives it a warm, slightly powdery finish. It is uncomplicated and extremely likeable.
Seven to eight hours of wear with good projection in the first few. It is a cold-weather and evening fragrance and it is one of the most popular first purchases for anyone starting a collection on a budget.
It is not a sophisticated fragrance and it does not pretend to be. What it is, is genuinely pleasant and impossible to argue with on value.

It is widely compared to sweet designer ambers, particularly in the vanilla-tonka territory, but it is not a direct copy of any single fragrance. It is an original composition working in a familiar style.
Better than the price suggests, though the materials read synthetic on close inspection. In normal wear it is pleasant and performs well.
Autumn and winter evenings. It is sweet enough to become heavy in summer heat.
