Club de Nuit Intense Man is the best-known Aventus-inspired fragrance in the world, and it earns that reputation. The smoky pineapple opening is close enough to the original that people who own both can be fooled in the first ten minutes, and the birch-and-musk structure follows the same blueprint. Where it differs is in refinement — it is harsher on top and less nuanced in the dry-down.

What it is not short of is power. Longevity runs ten hours plus and projection is enormous, arguably beyond the original. It is one of the strongest fragrances at any price and two sprays is genuinely sufficient.
