Nautica Voyage has been the standard answer to 'what should I buy with twenty dollars' for nearly twenty years. It is a clean, crisp aquatic with a bright green apple opening and a soft musk-and-moss base, and it smells exactly like a fresh summer morning. There is nothing complex in it and there does not need to be.

Longevity is its weakness — four to five hours at best — and projection is modest after the first hour. But it is pleasant, entirely inoffensive and it costs almost nothing, which is why it remains the most recommended budget fragrance in existence.
