Tom Ford Ombré Leather Decant
Dry suede and cardamom with a floral edge. Effortlessly cool.
The fragrance
What Tom Ford Ombré Leather actually smells like
Ombré Leather is the most wearable leather fragrance in the mainstream market. The leather here is dry and suede-like rather than tarry or smoky, opened with a bright hit of cardamom and softened by a jasmine sambac note that keeps it from being austere. A mossy amber base gives it a slightly earthy finish.
It projects well for two or three hours and lasts seven or eight, and it has a casual confidence that makes it work with a denim jacket as easily as a suit. Autumn is its natural season though it is fine year-round in Canada.
There are two Ombré Leathers — the 2016 Private Blend and the 2018 mainstream Signature release — and they are noticeably different fragrances with the same name. We label which one we are pouring, because it matters.

Tom Ford Ombré Leather FAQ
The 2016 Private Blend is smokier and more animalic. The 2018 Signature release is drier, more floral and more approachable, and it is the one most people mean. Our listing states which formulation is currently open.
More like suede than like a new leather jacket. It is soft and dry rather than tarry or birch-heavy, which makes it much easier to wear than most leather fragrances.
Yes. The jasmine and cardamom give it enough lift that it works on anyone; it skews slightly masculine in how it is marketed.
