The fragrance
What Rabanne Invictus Victory actually smells like
Invictus Victory bears almost no resemblance to the fresh aquatic Invictus that made the line famous. This is an extrait — cardamom and bergamot on top, a thick labdanum and ambergris heart, and a vanilla-tonka base that reads warm and slightly leathery. It is dense, sweet and much more adult than the name suggests.
Performance is very strong for a designer release: ten hours plus with a warm projection that lingers. It is a cold-weather and evening fragrance, and it delivers a niche-adjacent experience at a designer price.
The Invictus flanker family is now enormous and confusing. A small decant is the practical way to work out which one you actually want.

Rabanne Invictus Victory FAQ
Barely. The original is a fresh aquatic; Victory is a dense sweet amber extrait with cardamom and vanilla. They share a name and a bottle shape and very little else.
It sits closer to niche quality than most designer releases and costs considerably less. It is one of the better value propositions in the sweet amber category.
Autumn and winter. It is too heavy for summer heat.
